This item is categorizes as irregular, because the wooden tray is about 1/8" (5mm) too large, and therefore when the pieces of the puzzle are assembled into a pyramid, the pieces laying on the tray "spread" a little bit and are not tightly touching the other pieces and it causes the pieces on the top of the pyramid to "sink" a little bit, which gives the pyramid a non-perfect look.
However, when the puzzle is assembled you can place the pieces close and it will look great, but then you will see a 1/8" (5mm) gap between the base of the pyramid and the edge of the wooden tray.
