It is know that Constantin likes to make very challenging puzzle, but his latest design, the Labynary, takes the maze puzzle to a new level of confusion and difficulty!
Labynary is beautifully constructed from strips of wood and laser cut acrylic on the top and bottom part of the puzzle.
The puzzle has a circular shape, but the labyrinth inside comes in a 4x4 grid.
Dispersed throughout the area of the puzzle are bolts that can lock and unlock the movement of any of the six (four horizontal and two vertical) sliding strips of wood.
The goal is to free the metal sphere puzzle. The movement of the strips allow a small metal sphere navigate through the maze and eventually be released from one of the three outlets.
These three holes at the edges of the puzzle indicate the presence of three different ways, which means three mazes, or three different solutions. Sounds complicated? Well it should, because it is a diabolical challenge.
What makes this complex puzzle is the number of slide bolts. With so many different things to manipulate and move, it becomes very confusing to know what to move next.
The puzzle has a binary concept, which means you have two different states (1 or 0 - on or off - left or right). It sounds simple, but understanding how the mechanism works in this puzzle binary environment will be the most difficult part as you attempt to solve it.
Solution is NOT available for this one, so get it at your own risk.
The Labynary is the ultimate puzzle to test your levels of patience and of course, your solving skills. Even the most experienced puzzlers will have a hard time with this puzzle.
